LESSON ATTENDANCE
Your lesson time is reserved exclusively for your child each week.
STUDENT ABSENCES
Please notify Ms. Kelly as soon as possible if your child cannot attend. Lessons canceled with at least 24 hours' notice may be rescheduled once, based on studio availability. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are forfeited. Rescheduled lessons may not be rescheduled a second time. Missed lessons without notice are forfeited.
TEACHER ABSENCES
If Ms. Kelly must cancel a lesson, every effort will be made to provide a rescheduled lesson or suitable alternative.
ILLNESS POLICY
Please keep your child home if they have:
Fever
Vomiting
Diarrhea
A contagious illness
Any symptoms that would prevent them from comfortably participating in a lesson
When appropriate, lessons may be moved online or rescheduled at Ms. Kelly's discretion.
ONLINE LESSONS
Online lessons may occasionally be used due to illness, weather, travel, or other circumstances when an in-person lesson is not possible. Students should have their instrument, music, and a reliable internet connection ready before the lesson begins.
HOME PRACTICE
Consistent home practice is the single greatest predictor of musical progress. Parents of younger students are expected to:
attend each lesson
take notes
supervise daily practice
help establish a consistent practice routine
Even short, focused practice sessions every day produce better results than occasional long sessions.
COMMUNICATION
Studio communication is sent primarily through email and text. Families are responsible for reading studio emails, calendar updates, invoices, and announcements. Please notify Ms. Kelly promptly if your contact information changes.
MEDIA RELEASE
From time to time, photographs or short videos may be taken during lessons, recitals, or studio events for educational or promotional purposes. Families who prefer that their child not appear in these materials should notify Ms. Kelly in writing.
EMERGENCIES
In the event of circumstances beyond the studio's control—including natural disasters, severe weather, power outages, or public health emergencies—lessons may be moved online, rescheduled, or otherwise modified as needed.
